Join the Southern Utah Space Foundation at the Parowan Gap on Saturday, June 20th, for the Summer Solstice party!
We will be busting out our big telescope, and many objects will be visible, including the planets Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn.
While we officially start at 8 pm, we’ll be out there around 7:30 for early birds, and it doesn’t really get dark until 9 pm, which is when we will be able to see more distant deep sky objects. Please join us on Saturday anytime between 7:30 to 10:00 pm. The more the merrier!
Additionally, although it is summer and the weather forecast looks amazing for Saturday, clear skies in the desert means you might need a light sweater by nightfall. The forecast predicts a low of 68 degrees for Saturday night.
